Most lawyer biographies are written in the third person and tend to be somewhat impersonal. While there’s certainly a place for credentials and accomplishments, I’ve always believed that clients deserve to know the person behind the title. Not only do I strive to maintain a personal approach to my practice, but I also try to build genuine relationships with the people and businesses I serve.
So let’s start with this: you can call me Chris.
I was born and raised in Ocala, Florida, and after spending many years in the Tampa Bay area, I returned home to Ocala in 2022 and relocated my practice full-time. Today, CERV LAW is headquartered in Ocala, and I also maintain a St. Petersburg office available by appointment for clients throughout the Tampa Bay area.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my fiancée, Alexandria, and our toddler son, who keeps us both busy and entertained. Family is incredibly important to me and serves as a daily reminder of why helping clients protect what they’ve built matters.
As a Florida attorney, I focus my practice on serving businesses, entrepreneurs, professionals, investors, and families. My clients range from first-time business owners to established companies, real estate investors, creative professionals, healthcare providers, and individuals planning for the future.

Through my role as Executive Director of one of the world’s largest alliances of independent law and accounting firms, I also maintain relationships with attorneys, accountants, and advisors throughout the United States and around the globe. As a result, my clients often benefit from access to a trusted network of professionals while continuing to receive the personal attention of a boutique law firm.
Many attorneys spend their entire professional careers practicing law. My path was different.
Before becoming a lawyer, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of industries and professional roles. I have owned and operated a marketing and advertising agency, served as a creative director, worked in communications and marketing leadership positions, led nonprofit organizations, and currently serve as the Executive Director of an international professional services organization. I’ve even spent time behind a microphone as a radio personality.
Those experiences taught me lessons that cannot be learned from a casebook. I’ve experienced the challenges of managing employees, signing contracts, building businesses, marketing services, managing budgets, solving operational problems, and making difficult decisions with limited information.
As a result, I approach legal issues not only from a legal perspective, but also from a business and practical perspective. My goal is not simply to identify legal risks—it’s to help clients find solutions that support their broader personal and business objectives.
My desire to become a lawyer grew out of a lifelong passion for learning, problem-solving, and helping others navigate complex situations.
I earned my Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, one of Florida’s most respected law schools, while simultaneously working full-time as the Executive Director of a growing international organization.
During law school, I focused much of my coursework on commercial and business-related subjects and earned the highest grade in several courses, including:
I also pursued coursework and professional interests involving emerging technologies, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, privacy, and other rapidly evolving areas of law and business.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, tackling projects around the house, and attempting to improve my landscaping skills.
