Most lawyer bios are written in the third person and are somewhat impersonal. Not only do I want to have a personal bio (that’s easy), I also strive to maintain a personal approach to my practice and the needs of my clients. By the way, you can call me Chris.

As a Florida attorney, I focus my practice on serving entrepreneurs, small businesses, and professionals in a number of areas. Whether you are a first time business owner or if your business is growing nationally or globally, I can assist you in achieving your growth goals and navigating the various issues that might arise. Furthermore, through my personal relationships with lawyers, advisors, and accountants around the country and throughout the world, you’ll have the geographical access of a big firm.

Additionally, my practice is also focused on helping clients navigate the rapidly changing landscape of information technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity Law, and Data Privacy Law. By leveraging my legal skills along with my technical experience and background, I can assist clients in understanding how they can and should protect their businesses in the information age. My Experience & Credentials…

My Background & Journey…

I was born and raised in Ocala, Florida. Prior to becoming a lawyer, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to serve in a number of different professional roles ranging from the Executive Director at an international company to the owner of my own small business. I’ve also been a Marketing Director, Graphic Designer, leader at a non-profit, and Radio DJ. These are just some of the many hats that I have worn.

Through these roles and experiences, I have gained valuable and practical perspectives in a number of sectors and industries on local and international levels. I believe that my diverse experience, combined with my legal skills and relentless work ethic, distinguishes me from most lawyers.

Many years ago, I discovered my passion for learning and problem-solving—two critical ingredients in the recipe for an effective lawyer. This pursuit of learning and my desire to solve problems led me to make a career change and pursue a legal education and training at one of Florida’s top law schools, Stetson University College of Law.

As a part-time law student at Stetson, I effectively managed a demanding course load and a full-time career as the Executive Director for a growing international company. I excelled in my legal studies, earning the highest grade in a number of my classes including: Contracts, Constitutional Law, Negotiation & Mediation, and Trial Advocacy. I focused the majority of my courses on commercial law so that I could be best positioned to work with and advise businesses and entrepreneurs. Additionally, while at Stetson I was able to channel my interest in technology and participate in courses and seminars on innovative and disruptive areas of technology such as Cyber Law and Blockchain.

Perhaps Too Much Information…

When I’m not busy with CERV LAW, PLLC or my other professional roles, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also consider myself an amateur landscaper (I’m trying to win yard of the month in my neighborhood). I am a terrible golfer, although I still love to play, but I could seriously benefit from a swing coach (any takers?).
